Chinese activist lawyer Chen Guangcheng is the man of the hour as China and the United States try to resolve the crisis over his status. Just hours after leaving the US Embassy on May 2nd, Chen expressed concern over the deal the US officials had negotiated with Chinese authorities that would ensure his protection. Chen started talking to the media from his hospital bed and says he now wishes to leave China with his family and relocate in the United States. The situation remains fluid.
