Big victory for South African satirist Zapiro and for freedom of speech. After four years of threats, lawyers, and a gradual back-peddling, President Jacob has dropped his lawsuit against Zapiro over the cartoonist’s 2008 ‘Rape of Justice cartoon (the one on top). Zapiro response is below and features the cartoonist himself. The case was to go to court on Monday, October 29th.
